Support for survivors of domestic abuse & sexual violence
You deserve to be believed. You deserve to heal.
The Jessica Project is a national survivor-led organisation supporting anyone impacted by domestic abuse or sexual violence. Our approach is empowering, holistic and trauma-informed. We listen. We walk beside you. And because we’ve lived it too, we help you reclaim your voice. It’s free and confidential, and you set the pace.
Not sure if what you’re going through counts? You don’t need a label or the right words. If something doesn’t feel right, that’s reason enough to talk to us. Start here, no pressure.
Keeping your visit privateYour computer or phone may keep a record of the sites you visit. If you’re worried someone might see, you can learn how to cover your tracks. You can also use the Quick exit button at any time to leave straight away.
Wherever you’re starting from, you can start here.
However you arrived today, there’s a door for you. Choose whatever feels closest. Nothing is fixed, and you can change your mind at any time.

Read the guidesWhat happens when you reach out
Reaching out is a message, not a leap.
You stay in control the whole way. Nothing happens that you don’t choose, and you can stop or pause at any point.
- You reach out, your way Send a message, call, or fill in a short form. You only share what you want to. You can use a different name.
- You tell us how it’s safe to reach you We only ever contact you the way you choose. A certain number, an email, or only at safe times. Never out of the blue.
- A real person gets back to you Someone who’s walked this path replies, usually within two working days. No script, no judgement, no rush to decide anything.
What you tell us stays with us.
Talking to us is not the same as going to the police, and we won’t do that for you. We won’t contact the police, social services, or anyone else without your agreement. The only exception is if a child or someone at serious risk needs protecting, and even then we’ll talk you through it first wherever we can. Everything we offer is free, always.
Your voice matters
You will be heard. You will be believed. And what happened to you was never your fault.
So many of us were told to stay quiet. Here, your story is yours. Tell it in your own words, at your own pace, if and when you choose. Nothing you share will ever be used to measure you, doubt you, or rush you.

Healing rarely happens alone. Come exactly as you are, to a Chai and Chat group, an Online Circle, or a recovery programme, and find people who simply understand.
If this happened to you, you are not the only one.
Violence and abuse are far more common than the silence around them suggests. We share these figures for one reason: so you know this was never your fault, and you will be believed.
- 1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted since the age of 16 Source: Rape Crisis England & Wales
- 1 in 6 children have been sexually abused Source: Rape Crisis England & Wales
- Only 1 in 6 women who are raped report it to the police Source: Rape Crisis England & Wales
- 1 in 10 adults experienced domestic abuse, sexual assault or stalking in the last year Source: SafeLives
Meaningful change is possible
With the right support, every survivor can reclaim, rise and become the best version of themselves.
We support survivors. We also fight for them.
Real safety means changing the systems that let survivors down. We campaign for reform. We train professionals to respond with care. And we carry survivor voices into the rooms where decisions get made. Together, we break the silence and create change. It starts with the truth. See the myths and facts about violence against women and girls.
- AdvocacyOne-to-one support from ISVAs, IDVAs and stalking experts who know the systems.
- EducationTraining professionals to believe, and to respond with care.
- ReformPushing for laws and services that put survivors first.
Your support keeps this community alive.
We’re survivor-led and fiercely independent. A regular gift means we can answer the next message and hold the next circle. It keeps every part of our support free for the people who need it.
The Jessica Project is an independent organisation, not a charity, so we can’t claim Gift Aid. But every penny goes straight into frontline support.
The Jessica Project’s recovery programme has helped me by believing in myself and going to be stronger.
